Middle Frankish, 496 - 639 (III/5)

Proposal:

The list notes on the various army types/contingents seem hard to

interpret.

Replace:

"Aquitanian [Aq], Burgundian [B] and Provencal [P] armies only

become available with the incorporation of each region into the

Merovingian state, in 511, 532 and 535AD respectively."

with:

"Aquitanian [Aq], Burgundian [B] and Provencal [P] TROOPS only

become available with the incorporation of each region into the

Merovingian state, in 511, 532 and 535AD respectively."

This is because the current wording is incorrect. As the notes also

state, only Austrasian armies (that is, C-in-Cs) can be used before

561AD. Therefore, Aquitanian etc armies (that is, C-in-Cs) only

become available after this date. Before 561 it is internal allied

contingents from those regions that become available at the dates

listed above.

Proposal:

Add to the list notes:

"Wb of different origins cannot provide rear support to each other."
